A new pack of post process blur shaders for Unity!
Blur Shaders Pro for Unity » Devlog
It's finally here! Blur Shaders Pro is a pack of blur post processing shaders for Unity, supporting the built-in render pipeline, URP, and HDRP!
Version 1 of the pack brings the following effects:
- Blur - Pick between Gaussian and Box blur modes. Gaussian is a popular blur effect which has pleasing results, and Box blur is a cheaper version that sacrifices some visual quality for a performance improvement. Both types of blur are configurable.
- Radial Blur - This type of blur operates from the center of the screen outwards, and objects near the edges of the screen are more blurred than objects in the center. You can control the number of samples and the distance between them.
These effects are also available as part of Snapshot Shaders Pro, a larger bundle of post processing shaders for Unity. Blur Shaders Pro is intended as a 'lite' version if you're just looking for blur effects.

I've been looking for something like this for a while! Which Unity versions are supported by this pack? I'm using the 2022.3.4f LTS version.
Also, have you considered adding a bokeh blur effect?
Officially, the version I created the pack with is Unity 2022.3.0f1, and typically LTS minor version releases don't massively break compatability. So although I didn't specifically test 2022.3.4, there's no reason it shouldn't work in that version. Support for the Unity 6 beta is also a bit wonky but I am actively developing that.
Yes! I'm always on the lookout for suggestions and I did plan on expanding the selection of effects in this pack - that's definitely on the list.
