Version 1.0 brings a new toon and outline effect to Unity


Hey all! Today I'm releasing my newest shader asset pack: Toon Shaders Pro for Unity URP!

This pack contains a main toon shader which lets you control the diffuse, specular, and rim lighting falling on your object, with a ton of options for customizing the look and feel of your materials and support for plenty of Unity features, like additional lights, rendering layers, decals, and rendering paths like Forward, Forward+, and Deferred.

It also comes with a Shader Graph equivalent of the base toon shader. Normally you would just use the HLSL version for your materials, but I've included this additional Shader Graph for you to copy and modify to make your own effects. The core logic for applying the toon lighting is also contained in its own subgraph that you can put in any existing graph!

Toon Shaders Pro supports terrains too, with an option for stochastic texture mapping to break up any texture tiling, a common problem with coventional terrain rendering.

On top of all of this, Toon Shaders Pro comes with a fully-featured outline effect with a ton of rendering modes and tweakable settings, including mask-based outlines, depth-normals post processed outlines, inverted-hull outlines, and debug modes to help you identify rendering issues. You'll find support for variable outline width, transparent oulines, and my favorite feature: rendering outlines on specific layers of your choosing.
